Space to Innovate: The Space Enterprise Lab at NETPark

The Space Enterprise Lab (SEL) at NETPark is a dedicated hub for space innovation, located within the North East Satellite Applications Centre of Excellence.

Operated in partnership with Business Durham and supported by the Satellite Applications Catapult and the UK Space Agency, SEL NETPark provides free access to advanced digital tools for space-focused SMEs, researchers, and academic collaborators. Facilities include:

• VR headsets

• Interactive touchscreens

• Virtual whiteboards

• High-quality video conferencing

These resources are available for hosting hybrid meetings, demonstrations, workshops, and immersive innovation sessions.

As part of the UK-wide network of Space Enterprise Labs, the NETPark location plays a strategic role in amplifying regional growth, strengthening interconnectivity across the national space ecosystem, and accelerating opportunity development, partnership building, and project momentum from the heart of the North East
