NETPark Insight: UK-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement Unlocks New Growth Opportunities for Tech Innovators

A new government assessment has reaffirmed the UK-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement (DEA) as a global benchmark for digital trade.

Signed in February 2022, the DEA was the first of its kind between Singapore and a European country, establishing a high-standard framework for digital cooperation.

The latest review, published today (24/09/25), identifies key areas for future growth that could benefit NETPark-based companies working at the forefront of digital innovation. These include:

  • Streamlined paperless trading systems

  • Enhanced cybersecurity collaboration, including quantum-resistant technologies

  • Improved regulatory coherence in cross-border data governance

  • Deeper partnerships in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain

With NETPark home to a growing cluster of companies in advanced digital, biotech, and data-driven sectors, the DEA presents new opportunities to scale international partnerships and accelerate innovation.
