This will see Kromek supply the customer with key components for use in its explosive detection security screening systems, Kromek said on Tuesday 26th March.

Delivery of the detector components will start this year and end in the first half of 2025.

“We are pleased to have received this latest order from a long-standing customer in the security screening market,” chief executive Arnab Basu commented.

“It demonstrates the strength of our advanced imaging business where, after an initial design phase, we continue to receive orders for years to come.”

Kromek added that it had been working with the customer since 2017 and expected to enter into another long-term supply contract, given an initial research and development phase to meet its needs.
