Filtronic, an expert in RF technology with a successful track record in aerospace and defence, has been selected by QinetiQ, the global defence and security company, to design and supply the full RF chain sub-system for a new radar system that will be used for land, sea, and air applications.
QinetiQ has a history of working closely with SMEs in their supply chain. Filtronic, being a UK-based SME with specialist RF knowledge and strong manufacturing facilities, was an ideal partner for this complex project.
The contract involves the design, manufacture, and test of various sub-systems, which are line-replaceable units. These include specialised filters and transmit and receive modules applied across the RF spectrum.
