NETPark-based Coltraco Ultrasonics has been named a winner of the 2025 Wates Group Financial Services Sustainable Technology Competition, recognising its advanced airtightness testing technology, Portascanner® AIRTIGHT.
Delivered in partnership with the Sustainable Business Consortium, the competition aims to accelerate decarbonisation across the financial services sector, helping banks and building societies meet their environmental and operational sustainability goals.
Following a rigorous evaluation of over 100 entries, nine innovations were selected for pilot implementation at five leading UK financial institutions. Coltraco Ultrasonics’ Portascanner® AIRTIGHT was chosen for its precision, innovation, and measurable impact on sustainability.
The technology is now being trialled by Lloyds Bank, where it will verify the effectiveness of ‘Quattro Seal’ installations by detecting air leaks as small as 0.06 mm—a level of sensitivity unmatched by any competing system.
This collaboration supports improved building airtightness, reduced energy loss, and enhanced compliance with sustainability standards.
At NETPark, we are proud to see Coltraco Ultrasonics’ pioneering work recognised nationally, and we celebrate their continued contribution to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in engineering.
