County Durham-based Kromek's have created technology that can detect difficult to diagnose breast cancer enters prototype stage

The prototype of a new machine that can detect tumours in women with dense breast tissue has been developed by NETPark-based Kromek in partnership with Newcastle Hospitals, Newcastle University and UCL.

For detecting breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue, current technologies have limitations that the new MBI technology could effectively address.
