Innovation is thriving in the North East, and the latest NEAME Cluster Meeting at NETPark highlighted the strength and depth of the region’s advanced electronics ecosystem.
The meeting was kindly hosted by Kromek, with attendees welcomed to its NETPark facility for an overview of the company’s cutting-edge work and a tour led by Ben Cantwell. The visit provided valuable insight into the world-class technology being developed in County Durham and reinforced NETPark’s position as a hub for innovation-led businesses.
Delegates also heard from Chris Mayne of the Electech Innovation Cluster, who delivered an overview of the cluster’s work and outlined opportunities for collaboration across regions.
The session emphasised the importance of cross-cluster engagement in unlocking new partnerships, strengthening supply chains, and accelerating growth within the advanced electronics manufacturing sector.
The North East is home to a strong and growing #AEM cluster. Meetings such as this play a vital role in strengthening relationships, encouraging knowledge sharing, and identifying opportunities for collective innovation.
The event brought together representatives from leading organisations including PowerRoll, Leonardo, Space Forge, Durham University, Tridonic, Kromek, TT Electronics, DSIT, Viper RF, Filtronic, Nascenct, Octric and Pragmatic.
