Scientists in South Korea have developed a new hollow nanodome catalyst made from platinum and nickel that could dramatically reduce the cost and extend the lifespan of hydrogen fuel cells.
Using a room-temperature ultrasound-assisted method, the team created nanoscale domes with a hollow structure that boosts performance and durability. This method replaces traditional high-temperature processes, making production simpler and cheaper.
