About the event
This month, we welcome 4 exciting speakers who will also be joining us for networking:
· Dinz Dinsley from 3S Northumbria Limited
· Geoff McBride, Chief Innovation Advisor from UK Space Command
· Mark Whetton, Director of Business Development and Tudor Williams, Director of Technology from Filtronic.
A regular on the North East scene, Dinz was the founder of Northern Space and Security Limited (NORSS) which he set up in 2017 and grew to a 22 strong workforce. This was later acquired by Raytheon UK in July 2022. NORSS was dedicated to developing critical capabilities and experience needed for end-to-end space situational awareness and understanding activities on near earth orbits. Having recently parted ways with Raytheon NORSS, Dinz has now incorporated 3S Northumbria Ltd and will be joining us to discuss his exciting new projects moving forward.
Geoff is Chief Innovation Adviser has involved leading on Challenge Led Innovation. He has been building an understanding of the UKSC challenges and forging connections with the UK Space Communities to generate and designing solutions. In these early stages Geoff has designed methodologies for pathways to innovation with UK’s academia and industry.
Filtronic based at NetPark is a designer and manufacturer of RF to mmWave components and subsystems for mission-critical communication networks. Having just announced a major £3.2m new contract to develop next generation space payload communication systems for the European Space Agency, Mark and Tudor will look to provide an overview of the project.
