The North East Technology Park
NETPark works closely with on-site strategic partners CPI and world top 100 university, Durham University. Together we create a science park with an ecosystem that fosters, encourages and drives innovation.
CPI manage three national innovation centres on-site: The National Innovation Centre for Printable Electronics, The National Innovation Centre for Formulations and The National Innovation Centre for Healthcare Photonics.
Durham University are on-site providing easy access to facilities, academic expertise and PHD students for NETPark companies.
NETPark is a vibrant collaborative community of innovative science, engineering and technology companies whose technologies make a difference to peoples' lives across the world.
Plans to expand NETPark have been approved by Durham County Council Cabinet, who have agreed to invest £100m to finance the expansion providing up to 285,650 sq ft of new laboratory, office, production and storage space at one of the UK’s premier science parks.
Up to 11 speculative units from 11,500 sq ft to 35,700 sq ft to providing science, engineering and technology companies the space they need to grow, scale-up and commercialise operations. This initial phase of development is part of bigger plans for up to 433,800 sq ft across the 26-acre site and design and build opportunities up to 80,000 sq ft.
