CK Science

CK Science has fitted into life at NETPark perfectly given its background of supporting science and technology companies with their recruitment and HR needs.

The business, which is part of CK Group, moved into the Discovery Centre at the thriving technology park having worked with various companies on the park prior to the move.

Lorna Crombie, a director at CK Group, said: “NETPark is great for our staff and clients as it’s easy to get to know people here with the many networking events and other site activities taking place all the time.

“We’re on hand to support businesses with their recruitment needs as they grow and find the best people for them with the best fit for their business. It’s really important to us that we go the extra mile and develop solid, long lasting relationships with all our clients.”

Janet Todd, manager of NETPark, said she knew CK Science would fit in when the company approached her about a move onto the park.

Said Janet: “It’s really important to bring the right support companies onto the park and we knew that CK Science had the experience and expertise to provide a highly specialised, quality service to our other tenants should they require it. It was a win-win for everyone.”

CK Group’s head office is in Chesterfield and has been established since 1991.  Ten people are based at NETPark.

Janet has also helped the company organise networking events, including the recent NEPIC Cluster Connect meeting bringing together members of NEPIC with professionals involved in the process industries in the North East.

Janet added: “Since CK Science has been here, they’ve gone from strength to strength. It’s been a very successful move for them and for tenants at NETPark in a short period of time.”

Access to quality facilities was one of the main drivers for deciding to locate the business at the NETPark. We have been able to use this as a launch pad to link into support from CPI and world-class expertise from Durham University.
