Why this role is important for CPI’s work
We are looking for two Project Engineers to join our established and growing Asset Engineering team. The team provides an easy, no barriers, access to engineering services for internal and external customers that maximises the utilisation of our in-house people and resources and manages our use of contractors and vendors.

The Project Engineer will contribute to the delivery and realisation of engineering activities/​work such as plant and equipment modifications and alternations, complex equipment troubleshooting and similar. This will involve preparation, development, research, testing and local engineering project management work in line with team and technology area requirements. The Project Engineer will work under technical supervision of line manager and senior colleagues, supporting with a range of activities to meet technology area objectives.

Key tasks in the Project Engineer role will include (but are not limited to the below):

To co-ordinate equipment improvements in conjunction with Asset Engineering colleagues (such as Maintenance Technicians, Reliability Engineers, Project Engineers) and Business Unit Operational colleagues (such as tool owners, Operations Managers) and by following established SOPs.
To actively engage in hazard studies / SRA studies and discussions, as appropriate to role level.
To develop and present plans for introducing new and replacement equipment within the existing facilities and, upon agreement, overseeing the safe execution of the plan leading to successful handover for ongoing operations in accordance with project / client requirements.
To recommend and design improvements for CPI toolsets and facilities which increase availability, capability and reduce operational costs of ownership while retaining a safe operating environment.
To collect, collate and analyse fault data and, using key performance indicators, provide corrective actions plans to increase availability and mean time between failures.
To review the maintenance schedules, implement improvements and changes in a way to improve uptime, reliability and process efficiency while controlling the cost of delivery.
