Rob Dobson appointed as the new Chair of Wootzano Ltd
Wootzano is pleased to announce that Rob Dobson has been appointed chairman of the company, with the changeover taking place at the end of the 2021.
Dr Atif Syed, the previous chairman, has stepped down and will continue his role as a CEO and senior member of the board, had this to say: I am very delighted for Rob to be our new Chairman. His expertise with technology companies is extremely important, especially at a rapid growth stage of Wootzano. Rob was one of the earliest investors in Wootzano who believed in the mission of the company and the new appointment is a perfect complement to the rest of the Wootzano’s board.”
Rob’s early support for the company as a financial investor, along with his industry insight, has led the board to confidently select him as chairman. His diverse set of talents in leading and building very profitable software companies will be critical in navigating Wootzano’s next big milestones as it attracts international attention. His previous experience includes founding hugely profitable companies such as Actix, a company that specialises in making algorithmic optimization software for mobile phone networks, and leading the board of other very successful companies. This valuable insight will greatly contribute to the Wootzano’s business skill set.
Rob, an electronic engineer himself, said: “I am delighted to be joining the fantastic team at Wootzano, creating solutions to some of the toughest problems in automaton today.”
