NETPark Life is a new regular feature that we hope will provide insight into the types of people and businesses you’ll find at NETPark, as well as what it’s like to work here in Sedgefield, County Durham from the people that know it best!
In this feature we ask Graphene Composite Quality Manager Ann Devine about her NETPark Life.
- How long have you worked at (Graphene Composites Limited) and what is a typical day like?
I have worked with Graphene Composites for about 14 months now. A typical day consists of checking communications as part of the company is a USA subsidiary, and creating/revising documentation and activities to ensure the control of our products as they go from development to production. I also assist with product development, and more recently looking into test specifications and regulations for our American activities.
- What do you like most about your job?
The day to day variation of activities.
- What is the best thing about working at NETPark?
NETPark, and the Plexus building in particular, allows us the space and facilities to undertake our development work in an almost self-contained unit, and this has been invaluable in the last year with the Covid-19 pandemic. The surroundings also offer some peace and quiet, and lovely areas to walk around on a lunch break.
- What do you like to do when you aren’t working?
Taking long walks with our dog – Elvis the pug, and at the moment spending time with our daughter who is finishing her ‘A-levels’ and fingers crossed will get the grades she has worked so hard for to get into her chosen university.
