CPI and Durham University are jointly delivering support to local SMEs to assist them in commercialising photonics and other related emerging technologies for use in Healthcare. The project, which started on 2nd October, will run for three years and is aimed predominantly at businesses in County Durham.
Photonic technologies use light for a range of healthcare applications including therapies, diagnostics, imaging and surgical interventions.
Photonics is an exciting and rapidly growing area globally, as the demand for non-invasive, cost-effective, rapid and/or personalised care and treatment rises.
If you want to develop a product in healthcare photonics and are based in County Durham (or selected surrounding areas) you may be able to access support from SME Spotlight.
The support on offer is delivered by CPI and Durham University, combining their knowledge, and research and innovation facilities.
