Join us at one of our Innovation Bootcamps to learn about the funding and support available for innovation projects through Durham Future Innovation Building (DFIB) programme, and collaborate with key partners and other businesses in the sector to explore opportunities to develop new solutions and make these a reality.

3rd November – Define how your business can exploit opportunities for innovation

• This session will help businesses define how to best develop or adapt solutions to address new markets or opportunities, how to assess potential success to be confident of investing time and effort towards a particular innovation project and what collaborations and support can make innovation easier. Participants will come away from the session with a greater understanding of how to develop innovative solutions using existing resources and insights, and match these to unmet needs and opportunities of existing and new markets.

17th November – Develop your plan to introduce a new solution to your business or the marketplace

• This session will help businesses to create plans to develop and test innovative solutions in a lean, low-commitment way to confirm you have identified a good fit between the available market and the proposed solution before spending too much time and effort on undertaking the project. It will address the complexity of undertaking user testing when a product not working can pose a high risk to end users, and how health businesses can ensure they are validating the business model and desirability of their solutions as well as its technical development. Participants will come away with a greater understanding of how to rapidly test and validate innovative solutions with clients and end users.

6th December – Discover how to identify and assess opportunities for innovation in Health

• This session will explore the growing opportunities for innovation in Health, and provide interactive workshop sessions for attendees to scope opportunities for innovation and improvement that are most relevant to their business and identify potential partners or clients to engage. Participants will come away from the session with greater insight into opportunities for innovation for Health businesses in the region and approaches to apply in their own businesses to identify and validate growth opportunities.

All sessions will provide information on funding and support available for innovation projects through the DFIB programme as well as opportunities to collaborate and network with other businesses tackling similar issues in the region. They will also include talks from businesses successfully innovating in the Health sector and sharing their insights about they have used the approaches the workshop will use to drive growth in their own businesses.

*These Bootcamps have been designed to address different parts of the innovation journey and build on each other, but you are welcome to attend, one, two or all three sessions and will still benefit from building your understanding of how to successfully develop and deliver new solutions and the funding and support available to make this easier.
