NETPark | Community Engagement

NETPark is a flagship location for the future economy of County Durham and the North East.  County Durham Development Company works closely with partners, especially Durham University, to ensure that NETPark’s community is engaged, enthused and inspired by the technologies being developed on their doorstep.

Programmes for schools include:

• "Recharging the Earth" which encourages secondary and primary school children to make sustainable technology choices
• A science and technology Business Planning competition
• A junior incubation programme for new ideas
• A summer science event at NETPark in 2010. 

Schools are welcome to visit NETPark and vice versa! 

We will also be visiting community centres, associations, sports centres, companies – in short anyone who will listen – over the next 12 months so if you are interested please contact us and we’ll be glad to visit.  We are also interested in hearing from you as to how you want to learn about NETPark.
