NETPark Explorer is a £7.4m development at NETPark, recognised as one of the world’s leading science and technology parks.
This exciting new development will consist of two brand new buildings offering laboratory, clean room and office space, with units ranging from 3,550 sq ft to 5,000 sq ft, for world-class science and technology companies, either graduating from the NETPark Incubator or looking to locate in this prestigious science park.
Interserve Construction Company Ltd commenced building work in February 2017, work will continue throughout the year with an anticipated completion date of 12 months. The North East LEP has provided £3.2m from the Local Growth Fund towards the total cost of constructing NETPark Explorer.
The new Explorer buildings are located in a central position on the NETPark site next to the UK’s National Centre for Printable Electronics, managed by CPI.
Work on the Explorer buildings is set to start early in 2017 and be completed later that year. We are currently seeking expressions of interest in the new buildings from science and technology companies who would like to find out more about how NETPark can help their business take that next vital step.

Companies like IBEX Innovations, just one of NETPark’s success stories. The firm, which develops advanced x-ray detectors with high resolution capabilities and fast capture times, started as a virtual tenant at NETPark.
Today, it occupies almost 2,000 sq ft at the NETPark Discovery Centre and is continuing to grow, just as NETPark continues to grow.
